1. Introduction
Welcome to Meetzpe. This Privacy Policy explains how we ("we," "us," or "our") collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Meetzpe mobile application ("App") and related services ("Services"). Meetzpe is operated by Aviel Drori ("we", "us", or "our"), who acts as the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection laws.
By using Meetzpe, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you sign in using Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from the authentication provider.
- Business Listings: If you create a business listing, we collect the business name, description, category, address, contact information (phone, email, website, social media links), working hours, and images you upload.
- Event Listings: If you create an event, we collect the event title, description, schedule, location, pricing, capacity, audience type, and images you upload.
- Transaction Information: If you purchase tickets, we may collect order details including the event, ticket type, and order amount. Payment card details are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: We collect your device platform (iOS or Android) and app version for delivering push notifications and ensuring compatibility.
- Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications, we collect your device's push notification token to send you relevant updates. Push notifications are only sent after you grant permission through your device operating system settings.
- Usage Data: We collect information about your interactions with the App, such as businesses and events you save, events you register for, and quota usage for service limits.
- Analytics Data: We use a third-party analytics service to collect information about how you use the App, including screen views, feature interactions, navigation patterns, and user preferences. When you are signed in, this data is associated with your account identifier, email address, and display name to help us understand usage patterns and improve the App.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Location Data: We do not track your location via GPS or other device sensors. Any location data in business or event listings is manually entered by the user who created the listing.
- Contacts: We do not access your device contacts.
- Advertising Identifiers: We do not collect advertising IDs or use ad tracking.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Services: Create and manage your account, display business and event listings, process ticket purchases, and deliver push notifications.
- Improve the App: Monitor usage patterns and service performance to improve functionality and user experience.
- Communicate with You: Send service-related notifications, updates, and respond to your inquiries.
- Enforce Our Terms: Manage quotas, moderate content, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Process Payments: Facilitate ticket purchases and refunds through our payment processor, when available.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4.3 Business Transfers
If Meetzpe is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
- Server and Database: Our servers and database are hosted by Hetzner Cloud in the European Union (Germany).
- Images: Uploaded images are stored on Hetzner S3-compatible Object Storage in the EU.
- Authentication Data: Managed by Firebase Authentication (Google Cloud, United States).
- Payment Data: When payment features are available, payment data is processed by Stripe (United States/EU). We never store your credit card details.
- Analytics Data: Analytics data is processed by PostHog (United States).
- Local Device Storage: App preferences (language, theme) and authentication session tokens are stored locally on your device.
5.2 Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
- Database access is restricted to localhost only, with password authentication.
- Server access is protected by firewall rules and SSH key authentication.
- Automatic security updates are enabled on our servers.
- When payment features are available, payment information is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
5.3 International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers (Firebase, Expo, PostHog, and when applicable, Stripe) are based in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards as required by applicable data protection laws.
6. Data Retention
- Active Accounts: We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services.
- Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, including your profile, businesses, events, orders, and uploaded images. Residual copies in backups are removed within 30 days.
- Transaction Records: We may retain transaction records as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Objection: Object to certain processing of your data.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Analytics Opt-Out: You can opt out of analytics data collection through the App settings. When opted out, no usage or behavioral data will be collected or sent to our analytics provider.

Account Deletion
You can delete your account directly within the App by going to Settings > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data.
8. Children's Privacy
Meetzpe is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., business websites, social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and notify you through the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
